Since 2016, Michaela and Rimke have been co-creating the Holy Sweat — a wonderful combination of 5Rhythms dance and the sweat lodge. You are warmly invited to the 2025 Winter Edition!
The healing power of sweating was already known to indigenous peoples who held sweat lodge ceremonies. The founder of the 5Rhythms dance meditation also experienced this firsthand.
“To sweat is to pray, to make an offering of your innermost self. Sweat is holy water, prayer beads, pearls of liquid that release your past. Sweat is an ancient and universal form of self-healing, whether done in the gym, the sauna, or the sweat lodge. I do it on the dance floor. The more you dance, the more you sweat. The more you sweat, the more you pray. The more you pray, the closer you come to ecstasy.”
- Gabrielle Roth
5Rhythms
The 5Rhythms are both a workout and a meditation for anyone who loves to dance. It is a simple yet profound movement practice that brings healing to body, mind, heart, and soul. The five rhythms — Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness — together form a wave of movement. They invite you to move in your own unique way, to listen to your body, and to (re)discover your natural flow and expression.
Sweat Lodge
The sweat lodge ceremony is an ancient purification ritual found in many indigenous cultures, most famously among the Native Americans. The sweat lodge at Kura Waka is based on the tradition of the Chippewa Cree and is experienced as a warm, embracing blanket.
Feel yourself held within the lodge —
a sacred space,
a time for healing, prayer, blessing, song, and beautiful mythology,
where the stones are our Grandfathers
and the water our Grandmother,
coming together to surround us with healing steam.
The scent of the forever green.
Welcome to the circle…

This is a special time of the year..
It are the darkest days of the year and from the 21st we'll move towards the light again. A time to reflect and to explore our feelings and depth of being.
In this Dark days of the year we'll dance a 5 day-journey in the landscape of the heart and especially in the duality of our human experience.
The dark days are a traditional moment to make a ritual and to celebrate. This workshop will be a ritual to make the transition.
